I am Dr. Indu Chandrasekaran, an experienced and compassionate Internal Medical Physician with over two decades of dedicated service in the field of medicine. Since 2005, I have had the honor of serving as the Head of Internal Medicine at Jeddah National Hospital, where I have played a pivotal role in managing some of the most challenging medical cases. Over the years, I have treated more than 6,000 COVID-19 patients and have successfully handled critical conditions such as MERS, H1N1, Dengue, Pneumonia, and Meningitis.

My journey in medicine has been shaped by diverse experiences and unwavering dedication to patient care. Prior to my current role, I served as a Lecturer in Medicine, a Medical Officer in the Maldives, and a Registrar at KIMS Trivandrum. These roles not only broadened my clinical expertise but also deepened my commitment to teaching, mentoring, and making a meaningful impact on the lives of patients and aspiring healthcare professionals.

The COVID-19 pandemic was a defining chapter in my career. On March 24, 2020, I admitted my first COVID-19 patient, marking the beginning of an extraordinary challenge. For nearly a month, I stood as the sole physician managing COVID-19 cases at my hospital, navigating uncharted territories in healthcare with resilience and determination. This experience not only tested my skills but also reinforced my purpose—to heal, to support, and to serve. ..Read More

Beyond my hospital duties, I have extended my care to patients across Saudi Arabia and the Gulf region through virtual consultations on phone and WhatsApp, ensuring access to medical guidance even during the most isolating times. Approximately 80% of my patients are Indian citizens, and I take immense pride in being a trusted source of care for individuals from diverse backgrounds.

My journey is guided by a simple yet profound principle: to treat each patient with empathy, dignity, and unwavering commitment. It is my privilege to walk alongside them on their path to recovery, offering not just medical expertise but also hope and compassion.

I am deeply committed to promoting health and wellness through a variety of initiatives, both offline and online. Over the years, I have conducted numerous health talks and lectures, addressing a wide range of topics that cater to diverse audiences. My goal has always been to inspire people to prioritize their well-being and make informed choices about their health.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, I took it upon myself to raise awareness and educate people through social media platforms. Recognizing the need for accurate and timely information during such a critical time, I created content aimed at guiding individuals and communities through the challenges of the pandemic. This initiative not only provided valuable knowledge but also empowered people to take preventive measures and manage their health better.

In addition, I actively conduct Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) courses, equipping individuals with life-saving skills that are essential in emergencies. By fostering confidence and competence in handling critical situations, I aim to create a ripple effect of preparedness within communities.

As a staunch advocate of fitness and mental well-being, I also promote yoga as a holistic approach to health. Yoga, for me, is not just a physical exercise but a means to align the mind, body, and spirit. I encourage others to embrace fitness as a lifestyle while also pursuing their passions, as I believe both are integral to a fulfilling and balanced life.

Through these efforts, I strive to make a meaningful difference in people's lives, empowering them to live healthier, more purposeful lives.
